Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Glidefeed mobile application ("App") and related website ("Service") operated by Glidefeed ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using Glidefeed, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

Glidefeed is a local-first email client for mobile platforms. It connects to your existing email accounts (e.g., Gmail, iCloud, Outlook) using standard IMAP/SMTP protocols and OAuth 2.0 authentication. Glidefeed does not host, relay, or store your emails on any server we operate. Email data resides on your device unless you choose to use an optional provider-backed feature.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Glidefeed. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the Service.

3. Your Account & Credentials

You are responsible for maintaining the security of the email accounts you connect to Glidefeed. We authenticate through your email provider's OAuth flow and never see or store your email password. You can revoke Glidefeed's access at any time through your email provider's security settings (e.g., Google Account → Security → Third-party apps).

4. Google API Services

When you connect a Google account, Glidefeed requests the following OAuth scopes:

• Read, compose, send, and modify email: Required to fetch, display, and manage your Gmail messages within the app.
• User profile information: Used to display your name and email address within the app.

Glidefeed's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

• We only use Google user data to provide and improve the email client functionality you see in the app.
• We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the Service, as required by law, or with your explicit consent.
• We do not use Google user data for advertising or to train AI/ML models.
• Humans do not read your Google user data unless you give explicit consent, it is necessary for security purposes, or it is required by law.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Glidefeed to send spam, phishing emails, or any unsolicited bulk communications.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or to our systems.
• Use the App in violation of any applicable law or regulation.

6. Intellectual Property

The Glidefeed name, logo, and App design are the intellectual property of Glidefeed. You may not use our branding without prior written permission. Your email content remains entirely yours — we claim no ownership or license over it.

7. AI Features

Glidefeed offers optional AI-powered features (e.g., email summaries, draft suggestions) using third-party AI services. When you use these features:

• Relevant email content is sent to the AI provider to generate the response.
• AI features are opt-in and clearly indicated in the interface.
• We do not use your email content to train AI models.
• You can disable AI features at any time in the app settings.

8. Data Retention & Deletion

Because Glidefeed is local-first:

• On-device data: Email content, cached data, and preferences are stored only on your device and are permanently deleted when you uninstall the app.
• Crash reports: Anonymous crash logs are retained for up to 90 days, then automatically purged.
• Analytics (if enabled): Aggregate, non-identifying usage data is retained for up to 12 months.

You may request deletion of any data we hold by emailing privacy@glidefeed.com. We will process requests within 30 days.

9. Disclaimers

Glidefeed is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Email delivery, sync reliability, and availability depend on your email provider and network conditions, which are beyond our control.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Glidefeed shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, missed emails, or inability to access your email accounts.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify you via an in-app notice. Continued use of Glidefeed after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
