Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Glidefeed mobile application ("App") and related website ("Service") operated by Glidefeed ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using Glidefeed, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

Glidefeed is a local-only email and RSS reader for mobile platforms. The current launch path connects Gmail directly through Google OAuth and stores the working mailbox cache on your device. Glidefeed does not host, relay, or store your emails on servers we operate. Provider support may expand over time, but public launch messaging should treat Gmail as the first supported account path.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Glidefeed. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the Service.

3. Your Account & Credentials

You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Gmail account you connect to Glidefeed. We authenticate through Google's OAuth flow and never see or store your Gmail password. You can revoke Glidefeed's access at any time through your Google Account security settings.

4. Google API Services

When you connect a Google account, Glidefeed requests the following OAuth scopes:

• Gmail mailbox access (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.modify): Used to fetch, display, search, sync, compose, send, and manage Gmail messages within the app.
• Gmail basic settings access (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.settings.basic): Used only for visible Gmail settings features such as managing your vacation responder when requested.

Glidefeed's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

• We only use Google user data to provide user-facing email functionality you see in the app.
• We do not transfer Google user data to Glidefeed-operated servers or third parties except as required by law or with your explicit consent.
• We do not use Google user data for advertising.
• Humans do not read your Google user data unless you give explicit consent, it is necessary for security purposes, or it is required by law.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use Glidefeed to send spam, phishing emails, or any unsolicited bulk communications.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data or to our systems.
• Use the App in violation of any applicable law or regulation.

6. Intellectual Property

The Glidefeed name, logo, and App design are the intellectual property of Glidefeed. You may not use our branding without prior written permission. Your email content remains entirely yours — we claim no ownership or license over it.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Because Glidefeed uses local-only storage:

• On-device data: Email content, cached data, and preferences are stored on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the app, subject to any device backups you separately maintain.
• Diagnostics: Diagnostics are off by default. If enabled, limited crash details are saved locally on your device and can be cleared from the app.
• Support and waitlist email: If you email us, we retain the message only as needed to respond, manage the waitlist, or satisfy legal obligations.

You may request deletion of any data we hold by emailing privacy@glidefeed.com. We will process requests within 30 days.

8. Disclaimers

Glidefeed is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Email delivery, sync reliability, and availability depend on your email provider and network conditions, which are beyond our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Glidefeed shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, missed emails, or inability to access your email accounts.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify you via an in-app notice. Continued use of Glidefeed after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
